Congratulations to our U13 girls Watchet Vikings, who finished as runners-up playing up a year in the under 14s age category at Britain’s largest football tournament – ESF2025 this weekend.
Watchet won every game on the road to the final, playing teams from all across England, scoring 10 and conceding only a single goal to get them to the final against Plymouth Parkway.
In the final the Vikings didn’t allow a single shot on target from open play and were so unfortunate to concede two goals from direct free kicks, hitting the post and forcing great saves at the other end.
Special mentions to Hallie Swaby-Halls who was given a special ‘Magic Moment Award’ for scoring two goals from her own half! And to Piper Hansford who scored 6 goals during the tournament.
The team were awarded the runners-up trophy by Ashley Williams (former Wales captain) and Jordan Nobbs (who has captained the England lionesses)
The Vikings should be super proud of themselves. The future is bright. 🔴⚫️
