Watchet Town football club has an Alzheimers Society collection box in the club house. Recently coach Paul Clavey realised that it was full so emptied it to find over £50 in coins.Local Alzheimers Society Ambassador Margaret Tatham, who also organises the Forget me not Cafe in Watchet , welcomed the donation. ‘ Like all charities the Alzheimers Society lost funding during the Covid lockdowns so it is wonderful to receive this money. Even quite small sums can help with research into the condition and care for people living with dementia. Many many thanks to the members of the football club.’
