A group of our youth players took to road last Friday travelling to St George’s Park which is the Home to all England National Football Teams. Arriving at the world-class performance facility set in over 330 acres of stunning National Forest woodland with a little time to spare, they had the chance to have a look around the Hilton Reception area, which doubled as a mini museum, a treasure trove for England football fans with memorabilia & history.
The group then had a tour of the National Football Centre that the England teams use while on camp,
continuing onto the England Bootroom, which they had exclusive use of. The players sat where the likes of Harry Kane and Leah Williamson prepare for training. It was a special moment as everyone listened attentively to the briefing.
Then moving on and sitting in the stand at The Sir Bobby Charlton pitch which like all the other pitches, mirrors the dimensions of Wembley. It’s meticulously maintained, with the grass height identical to Wembley’s, down to the millimetre.  This is elite territory, and you must earn your right to train on this pitch starting on the nearby pitches & working your way up with the ultimate goal of one day gracing it.
The players then embarked on a Play Like the Pride, high-level training session led by two England coaches, where they were put through their paces as they became the newest members of the 3 Lions / Lionesses!
It was an amazing day and definitely one everyone will remember.
